About Us

Our Beginnings

 

During the summer of 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Theatre Mints was hatched to allow performers to express themselves within the safety of their homes. We utilized ZOOM to create full productions of many classics, such as:

• Hamlet

• Macbeth

• Much Ado About Nothing

• As You Like It

• Julius Caesar

• Two Gentlemen Of Verona

• Richard III

• Titus Andronicus

• The Taming of the Shrew

• Romeo And Juliet

• Twelfth Night

• The Bad Seed

• One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

• And many more...

 

As the pandemic became more manageable, we rented a small, cozy location in Brentwood, MD. There, we staged our first live production of the holiday play A Gift To Remember. It proved to be a success, with all performances sold out. However, navigating a rented location involved many roadblocks.

Thus began our search for a new location we could call our own. We found one, and it's beautiful. We know you'll love it too. Within the DMV, we are centrally located in Brentwood, MD - two blocks south of the North Brentwood Community Center.
